11/4/09 – The Sims 3 (iPhone/iPod touch) update now available on the App Store

Fire up iTunes and update The Sims 3, EA Mobile has announced a number of new features for the game!

  • New Sims Store with exciting new stuff for your Sims and their homes
  • Redecorate your Sim’s house by customizing your wall coverings and flooring
  • Change your Sim’s appearance at any time during the game
  • New Car Dealer Shop is featured on the Town Map
  • New Driveway is featured in front of the Sims houses for a better view of their cars
  • iPod Media Playback – through Main menu and Stereo objects in-game
  • Sims can be rotated in Create-A-Sim
  • Minor bug fixes

    I hav the new update I go to purchase something n it says I need to get another app to purchase it what does that mean?

    Hmmmm….. I just got thru purchasing the Vampire Set, and saw no mention of another app. Booted up the game, selected the store, picked an item and it asked me if I wanted to purchase. I hit yes, put in my password and then it downloaded and installed. It shouldn’t prompt you to installing another app as far as I know.

    What iPhone/iPod OS version do you have?
