WA: New/Exclusive Books, Foods, & Misc. Items
According to the Prima guide for WA I bought, each location has new and exclusive books, foods, and other items, and some were not mentioned before.
CHINA
General Store (15 items including three different qualities of dried food, tents, cameras, shower in a can, fireworks, bikes, etc.)
Bookstore (26 new books, including martial arts, fishing, and a new Jimmy Sprockett novel)
Foods (stir-fry and egg rolls)
Special Merchant (8 items, including keys)
Exclusive collectibles (1 beetle, 3 butterflies, 4 gems, 4 metals, 7 meteorites)
FRANCE
General Store (10 items including three different qualities of dried food, tents, cameras, shower in a can, incense, etc.)
Bookstore (23 new books, including nectar-making, fishing, and a new Jimmy Sprockett novel)
Foods (cheese plate, bouillabaisse, crepes, frog legs)
Special Merchant (10 items, including keys)
Exclusive collectibles (3 beetles, 5 butterflies, 5 gems, 4 metals, 7 meteorites)
EGYPT
General Store (14 items including three different qualities of dried food, tents, cameras, shower in a can, snake charming basket, mummified teddy bear, scooter, etc.)
Bookstore (22 new books, including photography, fishing, and a new Jimmy Sprockett novel)
Foods (shawarma and falafel)
Special Merchant (8 items, including keys)
Exclusive collectibles (3 beetles, 3 butterflies, 5 gems, 4 metals, 7 meteorites)

Jimmy Sprockett and the Cave of the Dragon (China)
Jimmy Sprockett and the Chalice of Nectar (France)
Jimmy Sprockett and the Mummy’s Curse (Egypt)
(So you know there will be a new Jimmy Sprockett novel in each EP. It seems as if that is the most popular novel in Sims world.)

Good morning! I’m wondering if it’s a total of 14 new exclusive gems + 12 metals and 21 meteorites, or if there is 5, 4 and 7. Thankful if you tell me! Have to wait until thursday for my copy…

Most of the bugs, metals, and gems are new and exclusive to each location with the exception of a couple. The meteorites, however, are the same in all 3 locations. I am not too familiar with collectables since I have yet to try it in the base game. I should, though, just to see what it’s like.

I’m a gemoholic, just as you know! Exclusive to each location? That sounds great if it means there’ll be about 15 new gems. Wonderful news! I would die for pictures on them… by the way…..

I posted a new post about issues with my game. But as soon as I resolve it, I will get back to the game. I’ll be more than happy to take pics, however, just remember that this is all new to me. Should I just get the collection helper for the sake of getting them to show you? Because I seriously do not know how to show you these gems. I’ve never found one, so I have no idea if it shows you a closeup of it. Let me know and I’ll try out any suggestions.

They look (uncut) like grey small boulders with spiky “triangles” out in all directions in some colour, that implies what kind it is. Then you collect it and click on it to cut it. The more times you’ve cut gems, the more cuts you’re able to do. The “higher” cut, the more valuable the gem gets. Then they’ll come with the post the morning after and then you see properlyhow they look (although they’re charming uncut too). The collection helper is extremely useful, but if you’ll not use it frequently it’s maybe a lot of points to waste on it. (It’s transferable, like the moodthingy, so you can pass it on through the generations, so maybe it’s “cheap” when you think about it). But I’ll get the game tomorrow so feel no pressure, but I’m sure many of “your readers” (:D) would love to see them anyway! Annoying having problems with the game… =/ Good luck on figure that out! Hope I’ll have a game that runs smoothly tomorrow…. Thanks anyway! =D
