IGN’s review on The Sims 3 World Adventures
A portion of a review by IGN:
I hope World Adventures sets the pattern for future Sims expansions. Moving beyond just throwing more stuff into a box and putting a price tag on it, this expansion is built on a very compelling and consistent theme that breaks the Sims out of their current suburban environments but also gives them the opportunity to bring back new skills, stories and souvenirs that can impact their day-to-day life. It’s true that the scripted nature of the tomb sequences tends to go against the style of the rest of the game, but the puzzles are fun and the rewards are worthwhile.

After you have installed the latest patch gives you the option to see the bottom of the pool even if you do not have a basement …

I saw the video on that the other day….I was like, wait…what? That’s a pretty nice feature – if the patch worked properly!
