EA to slim down games for 2010

This item was filled under [ EA, Video Games ]

Despite the 1500 jobs cut from EA this year, EA is still trying to slim down in order to increase profit.  During the Reuters Global Media Summit event yesterday, EA CEO John Riccitiello stated that the studio reduced their plans from 50 games to 40, with a slight possibilty to even drop further.

I’d love to say that these games are your so-called ‘Littlest Pet Shops’ and other misc. casual games, but to my surprise those actual sell and gain a profit because they are cheap to produce.  I just hope that there are no Spore games on the list to be cut.  As for Sims games…it’s a safe bet none of those were cut – those sell like hotcakes.

The Sims is a money maker! One of EA’s biggest sugar-daddy.

I doubt that any main sim titles have been cut, The sims is EA’s biggest series
