Honestly, as much as I love the Sims games, I'd be willing to settle for another game that is its competion where you can do pretty much similar things but better. That will be the only way to force EA to shape up. They are ruining this franchise with their carelessness. Do they not realize that they can make even more money with better support? Do they not want more customers? Unless we are blessed with a new alternative by another company that provides better support and customer service. Honestly, as much as I love the Sims games, I’d be willing to settle for another game that is its competion where you can do pretty much similar things but better. What i did was go to My Computer and use the search bar in the window and typed Sims. I deleted everything Sims-related other than browser bookmarks, CC stored in the hard drive, etc. But i mean files related to the actual installation, including patch files that were in my system, are what i deleted to wipe the actual installation out of my system. I am not sure if this is why it worked for me, but it worked somehow. And you have to know what you're doing, so this is not very user-friendly. Regardless, it's not very nice of EA to release broken patches when patches are meant to repair, not to break or worsen. I have Windows 7 Home Premium. I gave up on this game. It became boresome and annoying after all those patches. It's not the fact that they have so many of them, actually. It's the fact that they don't seem to do any good and keep making me avoiding playing every time. I'm still reading news just to see if someday I can feel tempted again. But for all I know. I'm over.
