Have you recently found that you can no longer connect to the EADM?  Chances are it may be due to the fact that the latest EADM update screwed you over.  SimGuru_BGY_11 posted a reply over at the official Sims 3 forums about the error, stating that version 6 is faulty thus recommending players to re-install back to version 5:

Hey, folks.

It looks like there is an issue with the latest version of the EADM that is causing connection issues. For the moment while we find out what’s wrong, what you’ll need to do is uninstall EADM 6.0.0.88 and install any version of EADM 5, either through the website or from the Sims 3 shipping disc.

We are working on correcting this currently and I’ll be letting everyone know when a new version that does not experience this issue is available.
