You can update your base game to the latest patch of version 1.12.7 http://www.simprograms.com/the-sims-3-patches/patches-the-sims-3/ – and also update World Adventures to its latest patch – version 2.7.7 http://www.simprograms.com/the-sims-3-patches/patches-the-sims-3-world-adventures/

Hi Guys
I have been trying for two days now updating the sims 3. I got the world adventures expansion and says i need to update the sims 3 base pack before i can play. What version of base pack do i need to download and install to beable to play the expansion? I have tried a couple and it keeps telling me i need to update the base.

ok, im lost. I cant get to the mac patch, cant run or install my new cc, cant get on the forum to try and find the patch… Any help I can get will be greatly appreciated. I already drug my electronic arts folder out and tried hitting refresh to get an update but nothing

Does this new patch disable all custom content? Has there been any problems with it? Because I bought the new EP and wanna play it, but first I want to make sure it doesn’t mess up my game.

i wanna buy the EP eventually, i can live without the SP.

I just don’t want to wait sooo long for a secure patch and miss out. like, i updated to 1.7 from 1.4, but if i had waited a bit longer, 1.8 would’ve ruined everything…..i just keep an eye out for everything….

Personally I’d keep it at 1.7 if it is working for you unless you are forced to update thru an expansion or stuff pack.

I patched my game and I didn’t even bother with the 1.8/2.3 one since that was a faulty one. I just updated my game with the newest one and I have the new Stuff pack as well. Working great so far, thank God. I pray that it will remain this way.

I downloaded the new patch and now I have a problem uploading screenshots to the Web site. If I select a screenshot and press “Upload,” it will actually continue to upload repeatedly (one screenshot uploaded 25 times). The only way for me to stop the upload is to actually shut down the game launcher. I don’t have a mac, but I suspect whatever they did to “fix” the screenshot issue with the macs screwed up screenshots for PCs. That would be par for the course with these patches.
Has anyone else encountered this issue?

Oh yeah, by the way, you can get all versions of the patch by replacing the last 2 on both versions with a ’1′ or ’3′ and so on.
