EA Podcast 16: The Sims 10th Anniversary Show
Awww, look who has a 10th birthday today! Don’t you just want to pinch its cheeks? Okay, maybe that’s just me. Anyhoo, yes, it was ten years ago today–February 4, 2000, that The Sims was released upon an unsuspecting world, and, well, we all know what happened after that. I’m not sure anyone could have predicted its success–let alone the fact that it would spawn an entire division at EA—but there it is.
To celebrate the milestone, we invited two key members of The Sims team to be on this week’s podcast: Tim LeTourneau, the GM of the Sims division, and Charles London, The Sims Creative Director. I’ve worked with both these guys, and both are amazing: Scary smart, funny, creative, and totally authoritative about the franchise they helped create. Unsurprisingly, they proved to be great interviews, so join with us in the birthday party and give the podcast a listen.
Happy happy!
