Fans complain on DRM; Amazon’s Spore rated 1-1/2 stars
Gamers are lashing hard on Amazon’s Spore page, giving it poor reviews due to including it’s harsh DRM scheme. As of right now, the game is sitting with a 1-1/2 star rating and has over 130 reviews.
I can’t say I don’t blame them. The fault lies with EA on this one. We tried telling them that SecuROM isn’t the way to go, but they don’t/never listen to what we said. Not to mention the whole “3 time activations limit” is a drag. Fans complained so much, it was removed from Bioshock. Why didn’t EA pay attention to that action? Not to mention the Spore was cracked days before it’s official release date, and this is with SecuROM! So honestly…what’s the point? I want to be able to not worry how many activations I have left, and as of right now, the only way to do that would be to find a cracked copy.
Give it time, users will discover that this DRM scheme of EA’s isn’t as well planned like it should of been. Here’s hoping that they will come to their senses and remove it.
