Will Wright along with the Maxis team has high hopes of Spore becoming a successful franchise, but as of now, things are not looking good.  First off, you have the DRM that limits you to 3 activations.  Then you have users complaining of many bugs with the game (frequent attacks in Space stage, Torrets don’t defend your colonies if you are away, etc).  Now add one more to the list:  You can only register Spore to 1 account.

Many users are extremely ticked off over this move.  In the manual, it states that you can have multiple accounts per installation.  However, an EA rep over at the official Spore Forums had this to say: 

That section in the manual was a misprint and will be corrected in future printings of the manual. There is one Spore registration/account per game/serial code so you are correct in that you cannot make multiple accounts at this time. I have sent your guys’ feedback to the game team though since I can understand the desire to share a game on a system that you entire family uses.

So…Instead of fixing the problem by allowing users to add more users to their game, they plan to just reprint the manual…

Sigh…Another stupid move, guys…
