So users who ordered the game from Amazon should be getting it on June 2nd! Incredible, that must mean they must be shipping them out right now! Hmmm, in that case I wonder if people’s games will arrive earlier then expected! It’d be nice to get a day’s head start with the game!

Another advantage to Amazon, depending on your state, is the lack of a sales tax. California sales tax is 9.25%, so buying the Collector’s Edition though Amazon saves $6.47. :P I also noticed my shipping was free. I don’t know if all release date shipping is free (I’m an Amazon Prime subscriber, so I already get free two day shipping). If anyone else is getting free shipping please let us know here.

I just ordered with Amazon, and had to pay for “release date delivery”, which was $5.98. Now I’m wondering if I had gone with standard shipping, if I would have gotten it for free. I’m not an Amazon Prime Subscriber, though.

I just talked to some Simmers on a forum I frequent and it seems only Amazon Prime members are getting the free “Release Date” delivery. Non Prime members pay $5.98 it seems. Prime is $80 a year. It’s only worth it if you make tons of Amazon purchases a year — pays itself off if you do.

Well, I’m not a Prime member, but I’ve been waiting for almost four months now since EA pushed up the release so I think I can wait a few extra days.

i ordered my copy from amazon in december, and today, on the release date, it says it’ll be here in a week.
