ATI Catalyst 9.9 drivers – Graphical corruption fix for The Sims 3
Feeling bold and own an ATI card? Most would say that updating your drivers to the latest version will solve a lot of graphical issues. Others would say the latest version made it worse. So the choice is up to you to update, but ATI released it’s Catalyst 9.9 Driver today, which fixed numerous issues – one being a graphical corruption fix for The Sims 3. Here’s the list below, head on over to the official ATI website to download the latest release!
- Anti-Aliasing support for Ghostbusters
- Edge enhancement and de-noise sliders in ATI Catalyst Control Center no longer lags or appears out of sync with mouse movement
- Launching Hotkeys Manager in ATI Catalyst Control Center no longer causes an unhandled exception error
- The “Desktop Rotation” page in ATI Catalyst Control Center no longer shows additional information for the second display when the secondary adapter is connected
- HDMI is now detected properly as DTV (HDMI) instead of DTV (DVI) when the HDMI display is hotplugged for the first time
- ATI Catalyst Control Center no longer displays error message when specific HDMI displays are hot unplugged and hotplugged back
- Intermittent failures no longer occur with Cyberlink MediaShow Espresso once a transcoding process has been completed
- ATI CrossFireXTM support for Resident Evil 5Graphics corruption fix for Sims 3ATI CatalystTM Control Center – Basic mode now responds appropriately after exiting Quick Adjust Video Settings

Oh, they didn’t fix the ‘bug’ that occurs with adaptive anti-aliasing in the catalyst control panel and anti-aliasing in the game both being enabled at the same time
