Milestones: I interviewed Will Wright once, on facebook. Well that's it. Oh and I was about to quit the community (for obvious reasons) then SimCity 5 was announced.

TouchGen – The Sims 3 World Adventures (iPhone) Review
Apr 15th
Another somewhat negative review against The Sims 3 World Adventures (iPhone):
There is little reason to get World Adventures if you already own the Sims 3 for iPhone. I actually find the original Sims 3 to be a better Sims game than World Adventures. That said I find World Adventure to be a better game overall with a cooler set of personal goals spanning the different locations. There is not that many new things to experience in World Adventures though, and within an hour you can experience all the new content. As the base Sims game is limited there is not much to do after that hour. Going back home to buy a better stereo seems less important when you have visited the Pyramids, the Eiffel tower and the Forbidden City.
AppAdvice – The Sims 3 World Adventures Review

A snippet of the review from AppAdvice about The Sims 3 World Adventures:
Fans of the computer version will also likely be disappointed. Casual gamers might feel like they could just go live their own lives and be just as satisfied, without the load times. This app is over-priced and under-produced.

Minimum Requirements for The Sims 3 Ambitions
Apr 13th
Update – it appears EA has gotten lazy and just copied and pasted the base game specs for the expansion. Keep an eye out on their Ambitions System Requirements page for any updated changes (more than likely the only change will be the harddrive space… 6.1GB is for the base game, it should be more like 3.5GB like World Adventures was).
EA has released the minimum Requirements for The Sims 3 Ambitions:
FOR WINDOWS XP
- 2.0 GHz P4 processor or equivalent
- 1 GB RAM
- 128 MB Video Card with support for Pixel Shader 2.0
- The latest version of DirectX 9.0c
- Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2
- At least 6.1 GB of hard drive space with at least 1 GB of additional space for custom content and saved games
FOR WINDOWS VISTA
- 2.4 GHz P4 processor or equivalent
- 1.5 GB RAM
- 128 MB Video Card with support for Pixel Shader 2.0
- Microsoft Windows Vista Service Pack 1
- At least 6.1 GB of hard drive space with at least 1 GB of additional space for custom content and saved games
For computers using built-in graphics chipsets under Windows, the game requires at least:
- Intel Integrated Chipset, GMA 3-Series or above
- 2.6 GHz Pentium D CPU, or 1.8 GHz Core 2 Duo, or equivalent
- 0.5 GB additional RAM
FOR MAC OS X
- Mac OS X 10.5.7 Leopard or higher
- Intel Core Duo Processor
- 2 GB RAM
- ATI X1600 or Nvidia 7300 GT with 128 MB of Video RAM, or Intel Integrated GMA X3100.
- At least 6.1 GB of hard drive space with at least 1 GB of additional space for custom content and saved games
- This game will not run on PowerPC (G3/G4/G5) based Mac systems, or the GMA 950 class of integrated video cards.

Laptop versions of these chipsets may work, but may run comparatively slower. Standalone cards that are installed in vanilla PCI slots (not PCIe or PCIx or AGP), such as some GeForce FX variants, will perform poorly.
Integrated chipsets such as the ATI Xpress and the NVIDIA TurboCache variants may default to settings that are higher than what would be optimal for them. Graphics settings can be lowered to improve performance.
The NVIDIA GeForce FX series is unsupported under Vista.

Introduction – Reporter Simillion
Apr 13th
Assuming you’ve read the previous post about me being officially added to the Simprograms team, here is now my introduction of my style of news and stuff I’ll be doing on Simprograms..
As Jud has said, I’ll be taking over the news while he is busy or away, Simprograms new advantage to taking on Sims news 24/7! :D. Plus I’ll also be adding some funnies to the mix of posts to brighten up your day, but don’t worry I’ll be serious when it is necessary. I come from a long line of Sim-Fansites and websites so I’m not… say… inexperienced. I have all most all day of every day (till Jud gets updating) online – so I’m usually always available during the Australian day for any comments or replies etc. Jud has already briefed me upon the basic rules of posting so my news reports should not be so different from ones you’d usually read and accept from Jud & the team. and last of all… happy Simming and we hope you enjoy your stay at Simprograms
Rumour: The Sims 3 Hobbies & Professions
Jan 24th
A user on the official forums posted a message relating to a Dutch store in which a second expansion, The Sims 3: Hobbies and Professions, is listed. The Superstar Rumour looks like it was High End Loft Stuff, how far off do you think this rumour will be from the truth. Here a rough translation of the posted message:
I know someone who works at Bart Smith who told me yesterday that the new release list had been inside, and there was a new sims 3 in expansion: The Sims 3 Hobbies and Professions. If all goes well it comes out on June 4, exactly one year later that the sims 3 released.
