UK – Wonderland and The Sims team up to come to a school near you!

Over the next few weeks, Wonderland will be travelling the UK, performing at schools and saying hello to students around the country.
As the girls have been asked to be ambassadors for The Sims 3, if you’re lucky enough to catch the girls on the tour then you can find out how you could be getting your hands on some Sims goodies!

Carl’s Sims 3 Guides – 2011 Challenge Tournament

For our visitors that love competitions and challenges, take a look at Carl’s Sims 3 Guides 2011 Challenge Tournament. Their tournament spans 13 challenges, from January to November. Participants will be ranked according to how many other players they beat in a given challenge. Each person you outrank in an event counts as a victory. The scoring component is 65% wins and 35% participation, meaning competing in more events can raise your score. For in-depth information on how this will work, read their official 2011 World Ranking page.
The winner receives a free copy of a Sims 3 expansion and a plaque to commemorate their victory.

It’s a fairly jammed-packed one. We have the announcement of The Sims 3 Outdoor Living Stuff, their December sets at the Sims 3 Store, Countdown to 2011 with special sales, free gifts, a Late Night video with Frankie Delgado from MTV’s ‘The Hills’, introduction to The Sims Medieval and free items from T-Mobile. Thanks to Sunset Valley Times for spotting this!
Advent calendars from Sim fansites

Running a fansite is a time-consuming job, but its well worth it! As much as I try to be active in the community, I just don’t have that much time to dedicate to the virtual life, like I used to. Still, if something comes my way I like to have a look and help promote it if it is worthy. For the past month, a few fan-sites in the community have been working on putting together their own Advent Calendars – where their readers/fans can download their creations every day. It’s a very good idea, I hope one day in the future I too could join in on the fun. Take a look at these fan-sites calendars – and enjoy!

How many times do I need to fill out my email address to subscribe to these newsletters? I don’t understand, I must of signed up for every EA/Sims/Spore game that offers newsletters, but they never seem to make it to my inbox. Oh well, at least InfiniteSims gets them! We’ve seen a few papercrafts before of plumbobs that various fans put together. Now it’s back, this time from The Sims 3 Team. With these 3 images below, you can print out and create your own plumbob – in green, red, or neutral (in which you can color it yourself). When all said and done, post your pictures on The Sims 3 facebook page to get added to their gallery of fans!
