Batman ‘Arkham Asylum’ costume for The Sims 2

It’s the goddamn Batman – Batman!  I’m not even that big of a Batman fan…but this is too bad-ass and I must share the word with you folks.  You can download this astonishing creation over at Mod The Sims.  Huge, huge props to Taure…I mean this is literally the best character creation I have seen for The Sims 2.  If I see a Harley Quinn or The Joker in this style…wozers…I’m not sure how I’ll be able to contain myself.

No-Censor mod for The Sims 3 World Adventures

Should of posted this awhile back, just now getting around to it.  If you’ve been using the existing mod for the no-censor patch on World Adventures, you may want to check out RothChild’s version.  Apparently the older one removes certain effects that the expansion has added, taking away the sparkles for the eye candy, the meditating glow and a lot of others.  You can pick this up at Mod The Sims.  Make sure you read the instructions in order to install the mod.

Source: Mod The Sims
Copyright: RothChild

The issue with the old No Mosaic mod was that it wouldn’t show the new effects from World Adventures. This mod should work properly for World Adventures and base game v1.6.6 and above.

This mod simply removes the mosaic censor from sims.

The old version does work, in the sense that it removes the censor. It also removes things like the sparkles you get from the Eye Candy reward, the glow you get from meditating, and a lot more. Many of the new effects are very useful for tomb exploration. Just to give you an idea of how much was added, the old Sims3Effects file was 2.88MB while the new one is 4.22MB.

MTS – Half Walls for The Sims 3 mod

Many folks been wanting half-walls for The Sims 3 ever since it came out.  Flabaliki, one of Mod The Sims‘ most brilliant creators brings to you just that! According to him, the half wall acts like an ordinary fence in The Sims 3 (it is a fully Castable fence) so you will need to latest patches for your game if you don’t own World Adventures (but please note: World Adventures is NOT required for this). Both the railing and wall itself are two separate recolor-able parts so you can make it match any existing wall you have. It is also great with counters and it fits all the game ones perfectly so there is no chopping on anything of that nature!

12/1/09 – TSR shennigans, leaked public information

Sheesh…wake up in the morning only to find out there is some new involvement brewing with TSR and the TSR Must be Destroyed website.  Apparently there is a leaked document that surfaced which contains 615 people’s real information – their full names and email.  I think this information was posted about those who pirate/share TSR content.  TSR fires back with a reply though, stating the following:

False accusations against TSR

Some of you may have seen yet more false accusations made against TSR on another so called community site claiming that our member database containing personal names and addresses has been leaked. We would like to assure all member of TSR that this list of usernames has not come from TSR. Many of the usernames published do not even exist in our database, and never have. For the usernames that do exist, in some cases we have more info than they claim, and in others, less.

This list is clearly not a list of TSR users. This latest folly only demonstrates further that the information posted on that site about TSR is false, dreamt up in an underhanded attempt to try and discredit our community. Because we are absolutely confident that we can prove this to be farce we have instructed a law firm to press for full legal recompense for libel.

If you have any concerns we would urge you to read our Privacy Policy which we believe demonstrates that we take our members’ privacy very seriously.

Update: Some comments posted by users on that site who are listed, state that they never gave TSR that info, or that the username is actually used on another Sims site and not on TSR.

After digging a little deeper, the information appears to be from the online petition “An open letter to EA Games:  Why we will not be supporting you“.  It is said by TSR Must Be Destroyed that it was hacked while at 615 signatures.  So yeah…Let me make it clear – if you have any personal information that you want to keep only to yourself, be careful with what you post as it may end up in the wrong hands.

I think I’ll just watch this from the sidelines this time instead of actively getting involved.  If any more details break – from both sides – I’ll post.  I don’t have the answers on what really happened, but I do think it’s foolish to pay for downloads – especially if it is made by free tools.  And yeah, this is coming from someone who used to work on the 8th Deadly Sim paysite.  I saw the errors of my way.

Kung Fu Fighting – The Sims 3 World Adventures Machinima

Truth be told, I owe it to Sims 3 Nieuws for the find on this.  They posted it earlier today but I did not have time to watch it until now!  I love this song :D  Would of made my day a whole lot more better if I listened to it at work!  In other news, my copy of World Adventures came in the mail today from EA :D  Hopefully I too can put together a few videos I had in mind.

‘How to make a mummy’ in Sims 3 World Adventures machinima

Let me get this straight.  If a skinny mummy moves that slow, then how slow would a fat mummy move? :P

Props to Sims 3 Nieuws for the find

TSC Podcast – Episode 24

This past weekend I landed a guest spot on episode 24 of The Simmers Club Podcast.   I have to admit…I think I’m getting a little bit better at speaking during a podcast – I was a little surprised when I heard myself, it wasn’t that bad.  Guess I can owe Left 4 Dead and online chat for that :)  Anyways, topics arrange from The Sims 3 World Adventures, which destination would be go in real life, the Sims 3 store and even our favorite downloads of the week.  Click on the image below to listen:

Maybe soon you’ll see me working with Luke on this site’s podcast! :P
