UK Simmers + A Contest = A Trip to EA HQ

UK Simmers, wanna go to EA HQ? OK. Here’s a contest by EA UK. Enter it and maybe you’ll win the trip mentioned above.
take a photo of you doing your best impersonation of an animal (your “inner animal”), then upload it to the Sims 3 UK Facebook app and explain in 25 words or less why your pose is the best and should win. Don’t forget to be original, creative and be if you want be funny and obviously have fun!
If you win you will get flights, accommodation, transportation costs paid by EA. Meals up to costs of £50 will also be paid by EA. The competition is open to UK residents aged 13+ (people under 18 will require a parent or guardian to travel with them, which is paid by EA) and closes on Friday 30th December (23:59 GMT). The winner will be notified on Monday 9th January 2012, make sure your flexible to travel and please do read the full competition Terms & Conditions.

The Sims 3 nominated for the 2011 BAFTA Kid’s vote (UK)

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts announced their nominations for the 2011 BAFTA Children’s Awards. The Sims 3 has been listed as a possible canidiadate for the BAFTA Kid’s vote. Competition one: Recreate a real pet!
The aim of this competition is to recreate your pet in the new Create-A-Pet tool! If you do not have your own pet, how about your friend’s pet? Or a cute video from Youtube. But nothing beats using your own pet, you can study them up close and see every detail!

Okay, I can’t say for sure which version of Pets it is – but I’d have to guess it is the Xbox 360 version as that is what picture they used. Also, no word on if it is limited to a certain region. Only bit of info I can share with you is that the contest ends on November 4th.
