New EP 6 Clue???

Seems that the user ChristinaandPaul on The Sims 3 forums, took a gaming survey when she was asked “which of the following games has she heard of?”. Both versions of Pets, Town Life Stuff and the new Master Suite Stuff were a few of the choices along with something new, The Sims 3: Showtime. Could this have been added to see if she was being truthful, did the survey people make a mistake or did they slip out the name of EP 6? Let the guesses begin!!!

Rumor: The Sims 3 Seasonal Holiday Stuff?

Now that Town Life is released, what’s next in The Sims 3 lineup?  The Pets expansion, of course!  But what about the next stuff pack?  Hard telling – but it may just be possible that we could be getting a Seasonal Holiday Stuff Pack, much like we had for The Sims 2.

Calmorezoo over at the official Sims 3 Forum had the following to say about this potential next stuff pack:

i just had a news letter email from game spot and clicked on the sims3 tab and found a list of all ep and stuff packs pressant and to come and after pets comes a stuff pack seasonal hoildays. why ea do you have to repeat every thing from the past sims? the only thing different as far as i can tell is that there will be a comunity lot where sims can purchess a tree to decorate.

Keep in mind that this is a rumor – if anyone happened to have the newsletter that was sent by Gamestop, I’d appreciate it if you could screencap it or forward it to my email so I can add it to this post!

Thanks to Jeff Carter for the tip!

Speculation: Could Sims 3 Seasons be on the horizon?

Amy over at Sims 3 Gamer brought up an interesting point… Seasons may just be on the horizon for the Sims 3 series.  While at E3, she spoke with Sims 3 Pets producer Ben Bell and he mentioned that fans would love to see University return.  When asked, he clearly stated that University wasn’t the next expansion they were working on.  When she then brought up a question on if Seasons will be coming to the series, he went quiet.  According to Amy, “everyone was quite tight lipped; I didn’t even get a response.

To further her point, she posted how these two horse images from pets contain the colored trees that we all see during the autumn months.  Now, it doesn’t mean that seasons will also be introduced with Pets, but it could possibly hint that it is indeed coming.  After all, I believe the console versions of the game takes place in the autumn months…and since horses are for the PC version, it makes you wonder…

Rumor – Darkspore to head to PS3/Xbox 360

Awhile back, Darkspore producer Mike Perry stated in a past interview that if there was enough demand for it, Darkspore could possibly be ported over to current-gen consoles.  Will this still be the case?  There is really no telling – I’m not entirely sure how well the game is performing in terms of sales on PC version.

In the following Joystiq article, a twitter user by the name of Superannuation spotted a mention in level designer Jordan Patz’ resume that stated he “worked with Maxis to modify Darkspore for release on Xbox/PS3.” Problem is, that resume now points to a youtube url address which displays the famous Nyan Cat song.  So either Jordan Patz caught on real quick and edited his resume to point to that, or this is just a big spoof.  If this is indeed true, it will be handled by Naked Sky Entertainment, the same company that did Microbot.
