MySims Camera now available on DSi in North America

Those who live in North America (possible other regions as well) can now download MySims Camera for the DSi thru the DSiWare Channel. For 200 points, you can take your photos and overlay various MySims characters to bring them into the real world. Anmate, move, scale, rotate – many options are made available, with even the ability to draw on the photos with your stylus! Once you are done you can share your images with friends. MySims Camera is a fun and creative experience that the whole family will enjoy!

EA published the product details for MySims Camera as well as two screens! The app can be downloaded if you own a Nintendo DSi through Nintendo’s DSiWare Channel! There are some more screens (that I posted last week and had to remove) but until I get the official word from my EA rep, I’ll hold off posting them

I keep telling myself “Purchase a DSi, Jud…purchase a DSi!” but I can never seem to break down and spend $169 bucks on something I won’t use much. I doubt the following announcement will change my views, but it’s nice to know that EA is looking into the specific features that the DSi have to offer. Coming up later this year, the Sims team plans to introduce MySims Camera, a “Nintendo DSi camera application that utilizes popular MySims characters.”

Take any photos of your choosing and add in the popular 3D MySims characters to bring them to life! They can be moved, scaled, cropped, rotated – they will even animate!
