MySims Agents – ‘Dog Case’ gameplay movie

That pesky Morcubus…if he ever got ahold of my dog and claimed it as his, there would be hell to pay….HELL TO PAY! Luckily, it’s only a videogame.  Head on over to the Official Nintendo Magazine to view the new case video titled “Dog Case”.  Find out who the owner of Dogwood really is!

Yahoo! Kids – MySims Agents ‘Fix the Laser’ mini-game

That VideoGame Blog – Hands on with MySims Agents Wii

A portion of a MySims Agents preview by That VideoGame Blog…

The game is a vast improvement over the first MySims, which was being developed when Nintendo was set on naming their console the Revolution, so no one really knew what to expect from a gameplay and graphics standpoint. Now that the Wii is established and has some maturity under its belt, the developers could take the input received from the previous title and smooth things out. Most noticeably is the fact that the camera is a static fixture, only moving for scripted events because, as Rachel Bernstein, Lead Producer, said, “we always know the best place to put the camera.” In doing that, they could make the world more richer visually by hiding things they didn’t want players to see yet or make a more panoramic view.

WiiBlog previews MySims Agents Wii – with HQ Decos and Unlocks

There is yet ANOTHER MySims Agents preview, this time over at WiiBlog.  This preview is one-of-a-kind as it contains a picture of all of the Unlockables and Deco for your Agents headquarters, as well as a number of recruits.

Not only that, but after searching DeviantArt, I managed to find a piece of artwork with 77 characters from the MySims Agents universe.  Will we be able to see/play them all?  You’ll just have to wait until September 29 to find out!

WiiNintendo: Hands on with MySims Agents Wii

Another preview popped up from the MySims Bloggers Day 2009 event, this time from WiiNintendo.  The information may be the same that we’re familiar with already, but they did treat us to a one minute video of the game in action!

As you progress, you are able to recruit other agents to help you on your team.  There are 33 available recruits, but you can only assign 12 at a time, so you must be selective.  You will assign each of them to a different floor (crew).  Each has a different back-story and interests, which add to the charisma of that specific floor.  When you dispatch your recuits, they may call in for updates, and sometimes ask for your help even as you are completing your own missions.

As stated before, some gadgets produce mini-games when used.  Each of these mini-games are saved, and you may go back to play them at your HQ office.  In total, there are 4 different types of mini-games, and about 80 total.

SimOperations – MySims Racing review for Nintendo Wii

I can’t go into much detail with the creative options and story mode as I don’t play a lot with them features. I like to get straight into the racing! Story mode introduces you slowly into the game, as it unlocks the tracks and championships over time. Each character has a small “challenge” for you to complete, for example, collect some pizzas around a track. There is a small or significant reward for your completion. As you keep moving around the town, some sims may require your help around. This is a review, right? So, I must comment on this feature. Story mode is a great introduction into the game, as you start from easier challenges to harder ones. A first time player may see this as essential to learn the controls and practice. MySims Racing is effectively a kid-friendly version of The Sims. It’s much simpler in storyline and controls. And it is, but the difference is, the core element of The Sims is removed: virtual life. MySims is a much more unrealistic experience with cartoonish characters. I must agree with IGN’s review of the game, in that, MySims is a more of a spin-off.

It’s not too late to pick up a copy of MySims Racing if you haven’t already.  However, make a note that when MySims Agents comes out, it may get a price drop.  Finish reading the rest of the review over at SimOperations!

Loot Ninja: MySims Agents preview from ‘MySims Blogger Day 2009′

LadyM has finished her writeup of one of the games she was able to try out during the MySims Blogger Day.  First up on the list is MySims Agents in which she claims to be the best MySims game to date.  Head on over to Loot Ninja to read her impressions, then catch the short video she uploaded to YouTube!

We played one mission in a house and had to solve the case of who broke the crystal. We had different tools we could use like one that discovered foot prints. Along the way there are puzzles to figure out that unlock doors and boxes revealing more clues. Everything can be examined. The longer you play, your tools will be upgraded and the difficulty increases. After the demo I got some hands on play, so I finished following the trail of footprints to a toolbox where I solved a puzzle to reveal the silver hammer. Fun stuff!
