Farmageddon – A frenentic farming game from Grant Rodiek

Disclaimer:  The post below has NOTHING to do with EA/The Sims Team or affiliated in any way, shape or form.

If you’ve followed the Sims series for some time, then Grant Rodiek’s name should be familiar to you.  Outside of his daily job, he’s been working on a separate personal project and I’d like to take a moment and give him a hand to let you guys know about it.  It’s called Farmaggedon, a card game in which you plant and grow crops for money.  Watch the video below for how it works:

Being as this is a self-published game, it’s on Kickstarter right now, hoping to become a reality. They are hoping to reach a goal of $5000 by March 4, and currently (as of this post) they are $1600 in. If you have a couple of dollars and want to help Mr. Rodiek out, please consider pitching in a few extra dollars – even buy the game. Already put my donation in, hope you’ll do the same – Let’s show what the Sims community can really do, please spread the news around on your Sims site, forums, facebook page, twitter and any other means. Just be sure to note that it is NOT involved in any way with EA (legal issues, and all that fun stuff) :)

le Internet Medley (The Meme Song)

Here’s a little something random to cheer up from the last post.  One thing I love, it’s memes, and this video has over 40 of them.  Can you spot them all?  There is one I am not familiar with, it’s of the anime girl with the…broccoli/celery stalk (well, that’s my guess).  What is that?  Comment below on your findings!

Music from the motion picture ‘The Muppets’

Have any of you checked out The Muppets Movie?  It came out…I think two weeks ago in the States.  I know that for some, it won’t even hit your areas until February…but I must say, go and CHECK IT OUT!  Really worth it…I wasn’t even that much into The Muppets, but I went with a few of my friends and, well…was shocked.  It was perhaps one of the best, funny and most family-friendly movies of 2011.

The music is fantastic…ever since I saw it, I’ve been on YouTube listening to the soundtrack.  I’m attaching it below for any of you that may be interested.  I love “Are you a Man or Muppet”, “Life’s a Happy Song” and “Forget You”.

Simmin24 create a song “Electronic fArts–Glitches in da house”

Simmin24, a fansite for The Sims series, have posted a song they created on their facebook page, taking the mick out of EA (light-heartedly!) I found it quite amusing to watch, the animations go well too! It was created by thesimling.

After you are amused from the lyrics, beats and the animations – feel free to check them out on their facebook page or their website!

How the Freezer Bunny gets around

Happy St. Patricks Day!

I love my state!  :P

Back to the Future: The Game (Exclusive Debut Trailer)

How could I NOT show this to you guys?  Aside from The Sims, Ghostbusters and The Dukes of Hazzard, I love Back to the Future!  I’m stoked to see Christopher Lloyd back as the Doc, and the sound-a-like for Marty is spot on.  The animation/voice is a little rough, but I’ll let that slide :D

You can pick up the game, split as 5 episodes starting this December at Telltale’s BTTF Site! It will be made available for PC, PlayStation 3, Mac and the iPad.

Normal Sims news will occur in a bit – so Sim fans questioning this post, hold your horses :)

Pills here! A Left 4 Dead Halloween

I hope you guys had as great of a Halloween as I had!  I was able to take part in the town’s Zombie Walk in which I (dressed up as Bill), my girlfriend (dressed up as Zoey) and her brother (as Nick) fight my sister and her boyfriend.  The walk was pretty epic – we didn’t really take out our camera to take pics of the actual walk (wish we did), but we did get some good shots messing around in front of the house!

The costumes weren’t the best – we practically went to thrift stores and put them together in less then a day!

Evolution of the Geek

Here’s something just for fun – Flowtown released a Infographic highlighting the evolution of “Geek”. If you read into it, you’ll notice we [simmers] fall (disgracefully) into the “World of Warcraft” geek category.
