Got to be careful publishing any news for the day as it’s April Fools day!  Sites everywhere will do their best to prank you.  Some outrageous, some light-hearted and even some that are so good it’s easy to believe that it is true.  The following links below are some of the jokes taking place within the community.  If I spot a joke/prank or un-true story I’ll leave the link here

SimPrograms – You should have already seen the new site design if you use the main url address.  Many think that the site has been hacked, but that’s not the case.  It’s actually a tribute to all of the craptacular sites designed in the 90′s when the internet was brand new.  TheSidDog helped with the idea for it was him that introduced me to the hilarious site, The Oatmeal which features a comic ‘How a Web Design goes straight to Hell‘.

Sims Network – Rosie from SNW is pretty convincing when it comes to April Fools prank, so to be honest I can’t really tell if this is actually true or not. I mean, it is something that can happen, and have happened with many sites in the community. She published an article that soon SNW and DeKDeS & Mogway Sims will merge into one.

Sims Network – A prank, but one that I wouldn’t mind seeing as Lego games rock! SNW received concept art for an upcoming MySims/Lego crossover.

Sim Parool – Will Wright has announced that his first true Stupid Fun Club project is an island in the Atlantic that he bought, naming it SimCity after his hit 1989 game.

Will states: “I have always been fascinated by the Earth and how things have been created. Now let me my own little piece of land in the ocean. From there, I would like my activities for the ‘Stupid Fun Club”. He’s currently taking input from the community on how the island should be constructed.

SimFans – managed to discover the next Stuff Pack, The Sims 3 Kitchen Accessories from an online retailer!

The Asian “Ridiculous” Store shows us the upcoming second Stuff Pack called “Sims 3 Küchen-Accessoires” (German title – engl. “The Sims 3 Kitchen Stuff”).

InfiniteSims – it sucks hanging upside down, but if you want to read their news it’s a must! Just be sure to do it quick, as your blood will start to flow to your head!

SimTimes – the Rabbids have invaded SimTimes, what are we to do (awesome design by the way, love those little guys)! They report that EA has announced plans to release The Sims 5, skipping the fourth installment.

The new Chief developer Anne Onym schwärmt of the new possibilities. So a team of Sims professionals have worked over a year to a new major features: the Sims can now finally in the sea swim! “It was really difficult, but ultimately our established resources have worth” Anne is cited. This unfortunately puts another planned feature on one of the AddOns. For the weather, the development team no longer had the necessary time.

But also here EA reassured the fans immediately. In future, it will no longer every six months publish a great AddOn but every four to six weeks bring a smaller expansion pack on the market. The Sims Slovenija – reports that The Sims 3 Ambitions has been delayed until August via a (fake) press release from EA. Here’s a snippet from a rough translation:

You can tell it is fake due to the fact that they report EA plans to fix the so called critical bug, not over the fact that the head of the programming team is April Fools :P (I kid, I kid)
