A good thing about preordering or buying it from one place may give you the chance to unlock special bonus offers from the retailers. But is this really a good thing? Personally, I don’t see a reason to jump on this as I always end up waiting until the expansion comes out. Usually a week after it comes out, some retailer has the expansion for $19.99. That is when I snatch one up! I love saving money! Not to mention people always end up finding them unlockable through other means and ends up distributing them on the net.

Over at the official site for The Sims 2 you can find details as well as a few pictures for the 7th Expansion Pack titled “FreeTime”. This actually looks exciting as you can finally work on restoring a car, which I have been doing for the past few years and still am today!

Snootysims made a mention today on her site that Toy’s R Us has a lot of details on the next expansion pack. Guess it is never too early to start selling!
