NPD: Top 20 PC Games for February 2010

The NPD Group released their statistics for the month of February, showing how well various games did in the US market.  EA took a huge chunk of sales for last month with 8 games on the chart, 6 of them being from The Sims lineup!  Impressive, yet they still report that they are losing money…

If your still with The Sims 2 series – or want to go back and enjoy the the sequel to the classic series, then you should now start to see The Sims 2 Fun with Pets Collection at your local electronics store.  I picked up this gem earlier at Best Buy for $20.  As you can tell from the name (and the screens below), it contains The Sims 2 Pets expansion and both The Sims 2 Family Fun and The Sims 2 Mansion & Garden Stuff packs.

Installing the games from 1 CD is better than 3!  However it worries me…they are just about out of Stuff Packs, so will they start to bundle expansions?

I love these compilation CD’s.  After I installed Windows 7 I used Double Deluxe, Sims 2 University Collection and Sims 2 Best of Business.  I tell you – 3 CD’s instead of…9 or 10 makes a whole lot of difference.  I’m eagerly waiting to pick up Fun with Pets when it releases in January!

Got to give a shoutout to InfiniteSims for this find!  They stumbled upon the listing for the latest compilation pack for The Sims 2, ‘Fun with Pets‘ over at GameStop.  Looks like we will be getting The Sims 2 Pets, The Sims 2 Family Fun Stuff and The Sims 2 Mansion & Garden Stuff with this collection.  The date is also set, coming to stores on January 12, 2010!

Haha, nice…Right after reading information about The Sims 2 Best of Business Collection, another pops up thanks to SnootySims…A listing for The Sims 2 Fun Pets Collection on Amazon France.  Only detail we have to go by is the estimated release of December 26, 2009.  I have no idea why EA would consider releasing it a day after Christmas…only theory I could come up with is that EA is trying to capitalize on those who are returning unwanted Christmas gifts, LOL.  “Look little Johnny, instead of a pair of sweatpants you can exchange it for a compilation pack!  Oh wait, you already have these games – nevermind!”

My guess is that the pack will contain The Sims 2 Pets (given) along with Family Fun stuff pack and possibly the Happy Holidays stuff pack.
