Sims Nieuws – The Sims 3 Pets reviewed for PC & 360
Dec 4th
Everyone’s favorite Dutch sims fansite, Sims Nieuws put up their reviews on the PC as well as Xbox 360 versions of The Sims 3 Pets! Heads up – it’s translated via Google, so expect certain portions not to make any sense.
My household was done, after much fiddling and eventually took Frummel one hour to get everything exactly like I wanted it. After half loading screen, the map of “Super Maple Coast back in the picture. I still find this card very cute drawn, but what I thought was a shame that only two houses were available, in order to live. Normally on the PC because you’re used to from a dozen or twenty houses to choose whether to build one yourself. After I had watched the two houses, two houses are also decorated the same, I bought one of the two and so did my family a house.
All menus and options were getting used to, and are still following my animals and my sim, sometimes very difficult. There are to my mind too much stuff on your screen, making it up on a monitor, as I have, a little too crowded. With many windows I mean the basic needs, tijdspoeler, pause, up, or low walls and any tips in the upper left corner. Everything is clear again with a tutorial on the life of your Sim, and from there you’re ready to go and whatever you want. And literally do what you want, because you’re down to nothing.
What is a world with only horses, cats and dogs? Just nothing, and therefore there are also wild and stray animals to be found! As deer and raccoons can hobble along but if you search you will also rodents, birds, reptiles, snakes and turtles. The small wild animals can catch and stop in a box so you can keep them as small pets. The disadvantage is that it is very hard to find! But there is another solution, if your cat is good at hunting can for you to find the little critters.
There are also stray animals, these are dogs, cats and horses with no names and whereabouts. If you are friends with them you can adopt them and give them a warm house.
Thanks so nice of course that the city really comes alive in this way. The bad thing is that wild animals are not really wild, such as deer can appear in public lots or just walking horses along the road and in your backyard. The animals are too tame and too much actually appear. I’m looking at if not of three wild horses standing in my backyard.
Vooks – The Sims 3 Pets for Nintendo 3DS reviewed

As per all Sims games there are the small simple things you can do to amuse yourself. The music on the radio was of particular joy to me, as they sound like very real songs but in the Sims gibberish, many of which are quite catchy. Your pets can ruin household items, knock over garbage cans, get into fights, and actively “reject” people, which I imagine does wonders for a Sim’s self esteem. Then there are always those moments that are eerily true to life. My Sim felt weary, but had to shoe the dog out of bed before falling asleep. The Shepherd snuck back in on the other side moments later. Then after a few precious hours of sleep they were both woken by a burglar, which the dog fought with and scared away. Sleepily they returned to bed, to find that the cat was now asleep right in the middle.
I just got the game a few days ago from EA’s Black Friday deal. But lack of a 3DS does not make it possible for me to review it. But I’ll be getting one shortly…I really want to check out Super Mario Brothers 3D Land.

- “Mysteries” add hours of fun to the core gameplay
- Six new karma powers.
The Bad
- Pets limited to cats and dogs
- You can’t import sims from the original game
- Some frame rate and load time sluggishness.

NZGamer – The Sims 3 Pets for Console reviewed

Yeah, I know…but I have a backlog of posts to go thru and they…well, consists of reviews.
All in all, The Sims 3: Pets offers a nice change of pace from all the high octane action titles out there, and you’ll definitely get your money’s worth… plus you get to experience all the highs and lows of owning pets, without the furballs, flea bites, poop scooping, and vet bills. While it’s probably best suited to fans of the franchise, the game’s gorgeous animal antics are guaranteed to generate warm fuzzies in all but the coldest of hearts.

Sims 3: Pets on the 3DS is a solid Sims experience for mobile fans. However if you are looking for a replacement for the console or vastly superior PC version, this is not it. The music is catchy, the diversity and options are great and nothing beats watching your sim succeed if you have the time to devote to this game that will surely kill hours and hours of your time. The lack of even a small story type mode like the console version has of ghosts and archeology kind of is a let-down. In the end if you are a Sims fan you will more than likely already own the vastly superior PC version, if you are thinking of getting into it, try the console version with its wide array of features. If you are looking to get the kids into a friendly game like The Sims than this is a great game to test their appetite for it on.

As with all expansions, the Pets expansion also contains a big variety of new household items. These are mostly in a ranch style to go with the new Appaloosa Plains look and feel. By now your collection of items would have grown to an unmanageable size if you collected all the expansions. But building your house and finding a specific item or decoration is now extremely easy. The Sims 3: Pets now includes the ability to sort items by collection. The default collections are the expansion packs, but if you have your own set of items you like to use for new houses, then you can now create your own collections as well.

I LIED!!! Muahahahahaa! Here’s a review of Pets for PS3. These are rare, enjoy with care.
We were probably one of the few who were looking for a Sims’ game on PS3. When finally it was ‘The Sims 3′ we were therefore quite enthusiastic. Four stars, we gave that game and then it seemed a correct score. With ‘The Sims 3: pets “we are now into the second outing of the Sims to the console world, but this time we were less enthusiastic. Why? That you can read below.
