I know that Jud already posted about the “Bart Smit” Dutch retailer saying it was on a list of games (originally from www.simsplanet2.com) but there was one fact that was left out of the post that I found interesting, according to the site, they were asked to edit the post by Electronic Arts, which in my opinion, increases the likelihood of this pack being real.
RUMOR – The Sims 3 Hobbies & Professions Cover CONFIRMED FAKE (**COVER ONLY**)

I found this under the comments section of another post, thank you for posting the link “lolifofo”. It is still just a rumor and could be photoshopped. In my opinion it is a fake considering that most, if not all (haven’t played with the misc. section lately) of the things on the cover can already be found in the game. Please comment with your thoughts and comments. Here it is:

Take2 updates with Sims 3 Hobbies listing and Create-A-Sim

Here’s a bit of new information coming from InfiniteSims. The South African online store Take2 has added The Sims 3 Hobbies & Professions to their listing of upcoming games, giving it a release date of June 4th, 2010. They also added The Sims 3 Create-A-Sim standalone version as well (which has debuted as a digital download in a few regions but won’t appear here until March 26).
As with all things, please take the news of the next upcoming pack as a rumor. It’s the second time it was mentioned which makes it a good candidate for being true, but things are always subject to change. However we’ll soon know what the second expansion will be within the coming months!
Retailer ‘Bart Smit’ confirms there will be “The Sims 3 Hobbies & Professions” expansion

I received word a few moments ago from SimPlanet2 in which they contacted the headquarters of the retail giant Bart Smit to see about the rumored expansion pack “The Sims 3 Hobbies & Professions“. Turns out that the name is indeed on the list with the same name along with the release date of June 4, 2010. However, the list changes weekly and of course, the game could either be dropped or have a name change in the meantime.
Personally my feelings for this makes me hope this isn’t what we’re getting for our next expansion…but I guess I should wait and see for either another listing or more proof. Perhaps we’ll know for sure what the next expansion is when The Sims 3 High End Stuff is released next week.

A user on the official forums posted a message relating to a Dutch store in which a second expansion, The Sims 3: Hobbies and Professions, is listed. The Superstar Rumour looks like it was High End Loft Stuff, how far off do you think this rumour will be from the truth. Here a rough translation of the posted message:
I know someone who works at Bart Smith who told me yesterday that the new release list had been inside, and there was a new sims 3 in expansion: The Sims 3 Hobbies and Professions. If all goes well it comes out on June 4, exactly one year later that the sims 3 released.
