Little things you may not know – Will Wright & Shigeru Miyamoto

This item was filled under [ SimCity, Video Games ]

Here’s a surprising shocker – I knew that Dr. Wright in the SNES version of SimCity is based on its creator, Will Wright.  I also knew that Will Wright is inspired by Shigeru Miyamoto, the creator of Mario and the Legend of Zelda.  I did not know that Dr. Wright is in The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening as ‘Mr. White‘.  It appears they both are friends, with a picture of them SimCity back in 1989.  Wow.

Kudos to Rosana! : ) And I agree, they definitely look surprisingly youthful. Almost… cherub-like.

Adding another layer of weirdness to the proceedings, don’t you have to bribe Mr. White or Dr. Wright or Will or whatever you want to call him with a picture of Princess Peach, autographed to boot?
