About Simprograms
Simprograms was started on August 18th, 2000 after I (Jud) returned from my first day in high school. I started this site mainly for one reason: to give people a helping hand and to share information to the fellow programmers of The Sims. The site opened with only a small list of programs that I collected off of the net. After 3 years, that list grew to an enormous size. Around November of 2003, I moved all of the programs over to The Sims Workshop (an extension of The Sims Resource) due to bandwidth issues. Thus, Simprograms then became my personal site which showed of my talents (I wouldn’t really call them that thou) and other useless information. After a great 2 years with the guys from TSR, in November of 2005 I was able to pull Simprograms back together the way it used to be, which is what you see here today!
After 3 years of The Sims’ release, most of the fellow programmers vanished, which only left a few people to create new programs for the game. When I started the site, I began to learn Visual Basics and, after some time, I made a few programs. They were nothing big, nor important, but I liked them, and I’ll continue to make them as long as people find them useful.
In the end of 2006 and most of 2007, I put the site off to the side while I worked on other projects. I became tired of coding and updating the site in html as it became very time consuming just to do a small task. Luckily, that all changed when I discovered WordPress. It made the site a lot easier to maintain and update, in fact it is what you see this instant!
