Creator: Maxis
Source: Spore.com
The ‘Expanded Travel Radius’ mod let users reach the un-reachable Grox planets at the center of the galaxy. It increases the travel radius when in the galactic core zone to 10 parsecs (a travel radius of 9.8 parsecs is needed to reach all the stars in the galactic core area). This mod will work with your current saved games.
To use it, save it to your Spore Data folder (C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\SPORE\Data). You’ll need to have updated to patch three in order to run this mod. If you patch your Spore game after using this mod, this file will be automatically deleted. To get the mod after patching, simply download it again.
This mod is available for both PC and Mac.
Spore Patch Version 1.06 – Dr. Pepper’s 14 Bots Parts Pack

Creator: Maxis
Source: SporePrograms
(330 MB – PC Only) Download at your own risk – it is known that you cannot install Galactic Adventures after installing this patch and it may cause errors for regions that are not English. The file was directly pulled from the official EA server, so we’re not responsible for whatever glitches/crashes this may cause to your game.

- Spore v1.06 Parts patch contains 14 bot parts for your creatures. From the Dr. Pepper/EA 2010 promo
- This is an official Spore patch in terms that it came directly from http://www.spore.com untouched in terms of me uploading it. However, according to MaxisCactus it is deemed ‘unofficial’ due to the fact that they haven’t officially released it themselves: The “patch 1.06″ is not an EA/Maxis product. Please exercise caution and only download content from sources you trust. If you install this patch, you will have an unsupported build of the game, which may mean you won’t be able to get help from CS in the future. This patch will allow you to play with the new parts in game, but you will not be able to publish them because it does not grant the entitlement necessary for publication. Rest assured that I haven’t modified it or touched it in any way whatsoever.
- PC Instructions: Install the patch using the setup.exe installer.
- Mac Instructions (or if you can’t get the PC version to install): Take the BP2_Data.package file and install it like a mod
- Users are reporting you cannot share these creatures by the official exchange due to a lock issue. However it has been reported that you can still share them by posting the PNG file – just not to the official site. This may be fixed when EA releases the patch on their website and removes the lock code.
- Installing GA after installing the Dr Pepper parts pack is unsupported. Click here to find out more about how to fix your game issues if you’ve followed this unsupported path.
- Buy a Dr. Pepper if they are sold in your area to support them.

What’s new with Asymmetry:
Get all the details on the new asymmetry features here!
What’s new with vehicle/creature interactions:
- You can now place the avatar, NPCs, and handheld objects on top of air, land, and sea vehicles in the GA editor
- Creatures will stick to the vehicle, and want to face the original direction they were placed with, while objects will tend to fall off
Caveats:
- For other players to benefit from riding on vehicles, they must install patch 5; in some cases, they may fail the level, or may not be able to complete it without updating
- There is an invisible shell around vehicles, to reduce physical complexity; players should choose their vehicle shapes carefully if they want it to look good when a creature walks on it
- To guarantee an NPC stays put on a vehicle, set their behavior to stay still
- Handheld objects placed on vehicles will stay on for a bit, but will fall off
- Air vehicles are very sensitive to wander mode; set air vehicles to path mode, especially if you want creatures to ride them, or they may be thrown off
- Air vehicles may damage some riding NPCs if they travel very fast; to avoid this, set the vehicle to be on the same team as the NPCs, or set the NPCs to be invincible

The focus of this patch is to fix some bugs that have been reported and to respond to feedback we’ve been seeing from the community about tuning and stability. We managed to squeak in a few fun things too; there’s a cool cheat that allows you to turn your creature into a blocky representation of themselves, a new “inspection” feature for the creature creator to browse the parts stats that you have applied to your creature, and the much-requested “evoadvantage” cheat – you’ll now be able to start a new creature game with a more evolved creature of your choice!
Features
- New Cheat: “evoadvantage”. Enter this cheat when are starting a new Creature game to choose any creature from the Sporepedia. Start a new game with one of your more evolved creatures!
- Display part statistics when you are in Build mode. Rollover any part and hold down the ‘i’ key.
- New Cheat: “blocksmode”. Turns creatures into their blocky representations.
- More style filters. Open the cheat window and type: “stylefilter -microscope” or “stylefilter -norainbows” or “stylefilter -nextgen” to see the new styles
- Added 70 new planet scripts with a low terraform score, especially of the “hot and high atmosphere” type

Miscellaneous
- Creature phase: Improved the way posse members behave during threatening situations and fights.

Spore SecuROM De-Authorization Tool
Download: Click here
Creator: EA
Source: EA
Spore was one of the many EA PC games that was released after May 2008 and allowed users to “authorize” up to five computers to play the games at the same time (in other words, it had SecuROM). Users can then play the game on any authorized computer they choose. If your computer is authorized to play any of these EA games, you can manage your computer authorizations using EA game-specific de-authorization tools.
Once de-authorized, a machine “slot” will be freed up and can be re-used on another computer. De-authorization does not uninstall the game, however, so if you decide you want to re-authorize your computer later, all you have to do is re-launch the game.
