I dont get it. I’ve updated my game, and it says that inorder for it to work, i need to update my base game too? I have the 2.7.7 update

By all indications, that isn’t a supported version of the game – that is the ‘illegal’ version that was released before the game came out. EA’s patches only work for games starting with version 1.0.631

I second NOT DOWNLOADING THE NEW PATCH. I downloaded it on one PC and it screwed my game up (can’t load saved families)

I avoided downloading it on my other PC until today, thinking surely there must be a new patch by now… but no!

And I have yet to come across a solution.

I will try uninstalling, but it is making me sad…

this patch has completely ruined my game, my game keeps crashing everythime I play it. Can anyone help please? Iv reinstalled my game 3 times and it still keeps craching.

I had an issue with a patch before that wouldn’t let me load the game. my advice for those who downloaded this patch: uninstall the game and reinstall it. it will reset the game to the first patch that came with the game. DO NOT CHOOSE TO DOWNLOAD THE NEW PATCH. just wait until they can fix this problem.

Yeah, I get to the household screen (where you choose what one you want to load), click into one and it kicks me out of the game because of data execution prevention! It was fine until I updated it!

How great… They release a patch almost a month ago and they COMPLETELY ignore the fact that the game is RUINED! Way to go EA. I can’t even play the game that I bought with MY money!

This new patch 1.8 totally ruined my game. My fridge has no food and the store has no food. When I try to load world adventures, I can’t bypass the update prompt so I can’t play world adventures at all. Has anyone had this problem or know how to fix?

All of the Items/Furniture Sets I’ve downloaded have disappeared in the game, strangely the content are still in the downloads folder. :(

I know my launcher come up with this second window saying “unable to connect to the ea download manager” when i click ok on that window it freezez up the launcher.

This patch ruined the game. There is a lot of problems (removing the major part of my CC, sometimes the game crashes when loading the save, Lots and NPCs are now known as their folder/file names, etc.) and bugs.

that update killed my game! all of a sudden, everything that i download throughout The Sims 3 store is unable to install at all! I hate the devs now!

AARGH! this update has stopped me from opening the Sims3 completely! the game launcher is alright but i can only get on to the WELCOME and GAME UPDATES section
- when i click play it goes completely black as if its crashed just before the opening video starts

does anyone know if theres anything to fix this?

my families, my houses and all the things i have installed from thesims3.com dissapear, everything oh and my default language changed to english (it is spanish). i dont know what to do! im hopefully waiting for an answer from sims 3 group

When im trying install Patch:
Sims3_2.3.33.003002_from_2.2.8.002002.exe
there is error, gorilla… “Invalid File Found”

bin\code_version.txt and bin\resources\bhei01m.ttf ….

Please Help Me..

It messed mine up, too. Lots and NPCs are now known as their folder/file names (ex. World/Riverview/Lots/Science….etc.) Also, the Journalism career seems to have disappeared as I am now unemployed and I can’t find the damn newspaper building anymore. What a load of crap!
