The Good
- Free-to-explore town leads to a sense of community
- Robust, intuitive creation tools
- Charming visuals and audio
- Good balance of sandbox play and specific goals
- Loads of content to keep you busy for months.
The Bad
- Most additional official content costs real money
- Some pathfinding issues.
Another excellent review from GameSpot, giving the game a 9 out of 10!

Wow, GameSpot can be really picky, so that’s an awesome score.
Really picky? By only naming the 2 major bad things about it?
The store system really sucks, you have to spend real money to get some more megabytes that will make your game more complete and at the same time incomplete, because I’m imagining it will be more the content to download than what we’ll get in upcoming CD/DVD packs.
The Sims, the original game, had about 100 new items with every expansion pack and a lot of improvements from pack to pack. The Sims 2 was good with the graphics, but not with the objects, like the previous series.
Let’s just see how it all goes…
