These tools should work if you have The Sims 2 or its expansions for the PC. They allow you to customize your characters either by changing their name and attributes, giving them new clothes, or editing their family information. To download the files, you may either click the ‘Download Here’ button to start the process or you may be directed to a specific site where you can download it from there. You can also view a larger picture of the program by clicking on the thumbnail image provided.

BodyShop Mechanic

What is BodyShop Mechanic? It’s a simple program that gives you a little better control of the BodyShop program that comes with the Sims2 game.

You can make BodyShop re-create the thumbnails by clicking the [Refresh Thumbnails] button. This is useful if you have some bad thumbnails in BodyShop. This will NOT fix the bad thumbnails unless you have corrected the problem that caused them.

You can easily remove all your old BodyShop projects that are cluttering up the Projects list in BodyShop. This will NOT harm your finished projects, once you have imported them into the game the project files are no longer needed and are wasting space and causing BodyShop to load slowly. You will also be given the choice to remove each of the old project folders – these are also not needed after you have imported them into the game.

You can use BodyShop Mechanic to easily change the background picture/color used in BodyShop at any time. For the background picture you can choose any bmp, jpg, or png image you have, of any size.

CAS Package Switcher

This little program makes it easy to switch CAS! screens for The Sims 2 game. You can add two preview screenshots so you don’t have to guess which file is which.

Having several CAS! screens and trying to remember which one was which was is a pain. Also renaming and moving files manually was a hassle. This automates the process and if you add screenshots it also solves the problem of which CAS! screen you are switching to.

MilkShape 3D is a low-polygon modeler, which was initially designed for Half-Life. By and by many file formats and features have been added. Using this with SimPE allows you to create custom meshes for your Sims.

MilkShape 3D has all basic operations like select, move, rotate, scale, extrude, turn edge, subdivide, just to mention a few. MilkShape 3D also allows low-level editing with the vertex and face tool. Standard and extended primitives like spheres, boxes, cylinders, etc. are available too.

MilkShape 3D is a skeletal animator. This allows to export to morph target animation like the ones in the Quake model formats or to export to skeletal animations like Half-Life, Genesis3d, Unreal, etc.

SeeThem 2

See Them 2 is a tool intended for removing the censor (blurred Sims) in all TS2 versions – Original game, University, Nightlife, Open for Business, Family Fun Stuff, Glamour Life, Pets… – in all language versions, with any patch..

This program allows the placement of objects on a diagonal or out of grid, as well as changing many of the gameplay settings. You can change skills or needs levels of your Sims, their personality or even their look – just launch your game in Debug mode by using See Them 2. This program has been specially designed with beginners in mind so it has an easy-to-use interface with pictures instead of text.

See Them 2 will find the game location by itself, so you don’t have to worry about finding the appropriate folder. It also doesn’t need any installation or additional files to run. This program uses the well-known censor.package file made by Quaxi for removing the censor in all game versions.

Warning! See Them 2 will allow you to see nude Sims. Therefore, you should only use this program if you are at least 13 years of age or older. Otherwise, do not download it!

Do you jot down notes as you play the Sims to keep track of who is friends with whom? Use SimAddy to keep track of your friends, relationships, and career! I call it SimAddy, because it’s like an address book for your Sims. I came up with the idea because getting and keeping friends for my Sims is the hardest part of the game. Let SimAddy search all of the Sims you’ve entered to find possible friend matches, based on their astrological sign, or specify the chemistry a sim has with others (if you have Sims Nightlife expansion). You can enter in your Sim’s career information and it will display who is available at a given hour, so you know who is available before you try calling. Manage your Sim’s relationships with Matchmaker – keep track of who’s Going Steady or married, or specify a match between two sims with good chemistry. It doesn’t interact directly with the game, so you won’t have to worry about it modifying important files.

You’ll wonder how you ever played The Sims without it! Includes a Help file and uninstaller.

SimPE ships with a brand new Family Ties Editor, which is way more useable than the one you may know from the classic GUI.

SimPose-ium 2 (or SimPose2 for short) is an animation editor for the Maxis/Electronic Arts Game ‘TheSims2′.

It will let you display a number of Sims and to pose them in any desired position. They also let you create key frame animations.

The main uses for SimPose are:

* Creating still and animated Sim images for web sites
* Creating story-boards and comic strips staring the Sims
* Creating new or modifying in-game animations

The programs as presented here are still work in progress, and bugs get fixed as they are reported. In general, the longer a feature has been in the program the more stable it is. Please accept any limitations and enjoy the program for what they do.

The Sims 2 NPC Replacer allows you to easily alter the default outfits of most NPCs in the game. TS2 Generator

This is a helper tool to generate the sims you’d want.

The reason for writing yet another of these was adding extra functionality. Things like being able to add new first names and last names, but also to add in extra turn ons and such that seems to get added every few expansions without loosing randomness from the generations and without having to modify the application itself.

The .ts2 and .ini fields are normal text file that can be edited to add any of these various bit of texts as needed. Everybody would most probably not need 88000 surnames, or wouldn’t like the pet names that were added in the files after looking around on some sites for those.
